Our team

Cathy is a registered member of the BACP with 20 years experience of working with people and horses.  She is passionate about making therapy accessible to all and strongly believes in the power of horses, animals and nature in the process. Cathy's qualifications include Psychology BSc, Advanced Professional Diploma Psycotherapeutic Counselling, HEAL training. Cathy starts a Masters in Animal Assisted Psycotherapy and Counselling in September 2026.

Jennie came on board in 2026 bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge across many fronts, including Animal assisted therapy, wildlife and conservation and environment. Jennie's qualifications include Animal behaviour and wildlife conservation BSc, Ecology and conservation post graduate certificate and Animal Assisted Therapy QSL. Jennie has over 20 years experience if working with animals.

Florence is a 15 year old Irish Sports horse and is the founding member of our herd.  Orignally ridden and competed by Cathy, Florence taught her valuable lessons about the power of mind and psychology in sport and also how restorative being with horses could be.

Freddie is a 6 year old ex race horse and has the sweetest nature of all our horses.  He loves a cuddle and is very in tune with people's emotions.  As he is still young he loves to play, we are being very careful with his  therapy work and not over facing him.

Teddy is a 9 year old miniature shetland pony.  Don't be fooled by his short stature - Teddy is definitely the boss and has to come in first before any of the big girls.  Teddy is cheeky and loving and has been a great addition to our herd.

Betty is an 8 year old Warmblood cross and is currently on loan with us.  Betty has a very strong personality which we have gotten to know in the year that she has been with us.  Betty is proving to be an invaluable part of our team here and thoroughly enjoys her work.

Fionn is Florence's foal and is now incredibly two years old.  He has an adorable personality and is very people orientated but he is not participating in any kind of work.  Hopefully when he is older he will join part of the therapy team.

Connie is our newest team member. She brings the right amount of excitement and fun to proceedings, whilst being very kind and cute.

Mollie is a two year old Border terrier and is cheeky, playful and full of joy.  Mollie is spending more time up the yard but like FIonn we are making sure that she gets to enjoy being a puppy before anything else.

Dylan is the resident mouser, guard cat and fluff ball.  He will often stay around for some fuss but is more likely to appear at meal times  than any other!
